BOB MCMILLEN TO STEP DOWN AS HEAD COACH OF THE LA KISS

Los Angeles, CA (October 30th, 2015) – The LA KISS announced today that Bob McMillen has stepped down as Head Coach of the LA KISS and will not return for the 2016 season. McMillen held a record of 7-29 as the first Head Coach for the LA KISS. Joe Windham, CEO of the LA KISS, has already begun their search for a replacement which they hope will be concluded in the next couple of weeks.

“I have made the decision not to return as the Head Coach of the LA KISS in 2016,” said Bob McMillen. “I would like to thank the players, fans, and organization for the support over the last two years. I appreciate the opportunity I was given by the owners as the first coach of the LA KISS and cannot thank the players and fans enough for believing in me. I feel the team really improved over the last year and was playing great football by the end of the year. Over the past two years I believe we have been building a strong foundation and that the core of this team will have future success. ”

“We are sad to see Bob leave the organization,” said Joe Windham, CEO of the LA KISS. “He helped get the franchise off the ground and made big strides last season to get the team on a winning track. He is a good friend and will always be part of the LA KISS family. The LA KISS wishes him the best of luck in his future endeavors.”

Before joining the LA KISS, McMillen earned NET10 Wireless Head Coach of the Year honors in 2013 after guiding the Chicago Rush to a 10-8 record and Central Division championship in his third season at the helm. For his career, McMillen has a 41-50 regular season record and 41-52 record including the postseason. McMillen will now seek other opportunities that will better suit him and his family’s needs.
