Los Angeles, CA (May 14TH, 2015) – The LA KISS made a move to their roster this week with the assignment of AFL veteran quarterback Danny Southwick as they head into their match-up against the Portland Thunder on Saturday, May 16th at 7pm PST at the Moda Center in Portland, Oregon.

Danny Southwick, a 5 year veteran quarterback, is coming to the LA KISS from the Spokane Shock. Last season he started 8 games for the Portland Thunder under guidance of current LA KISS offensive coordinator Matt Sauk. During those 8 starts Southwick set career highs with 38 touchdowns and over 2000 yards passing while completing 165 of 263 passes. During his AFL career he has spent time with the Tampa Bay Storm, San Jose Sabercats, Chicago Rush, Cleveland Gladiators, and Spokane Shock.

“Being able to trade for a quarterback like Danny is a big lift for our football team,” said LA KISS Head Coach Bob McMillen. “He is AFL veteran who has seen much success in this league and who has previously played for our offensive coordinator Coach Sauk. We are excited he is part of our team.”
