The LA KISS have been assigned DE Earl Okine, MLB Beau Bell and K Kenny Spencer, the League announced today. The franchise now has eight players under contract for 2014.

Okine (6-7, 295, Florida) joins the team as a rookie, having played 42 games with 27 tackles as a defensive lineman for the Florida Gators in college. Okine spent the 2013 NFL preseason with the Houston Texans.

Bell (6-2, 240, UNLV), a three-year veteran of the AFL, is coming off a career-year with the Spokane Shock. Bell collected 70 tackles and a team-high 8.5 sacks in 17 games with the Shock in 2013. Bell has spent all three of his AFL seasons in Spokane. Prior to joining the Shock, Bell was drafted in the fourth round of the 2008 NFL Draft by the Cleveland Browns. As a college linebacker at UNLV, Bell was named the 2007 Mountain West Conference Defensive MVP.

Spencer (6-1, 220, North Alabama) earned AFL Kicker of the Year honors as a rookie with the Spokane Shock in 2012, setting a League record with 138 extra point conversions in his first year in the League. Spencer split time between the Shock and New Orleans VooDoo in 2013, connecting on 82-of-95 PAT tries and 2-of-7 field goals. Prior to his time in the AFL, Spencer converted on 63-of-66 PAT attempts and 12-of-17 field goals as a senior at North Alabama.
